Obituary

Scott William Vawser was born January 17, 1984 in Mitchell to David and Tammy Vawser. He grew up in Yankton, Woonsocket and in most recent years in Mount Vernon, where he graduated from high school in 2003. Scott was employed in Mitchell by Walmart, Kmart, Boyd’s Gunstock and was presently working at Coborn’s.  Scott touched the heart of many people.  He always loved laughing and hanging out with friends and was always able to put a smile on their face. His hobbies included race cars, mud trucks, video games and most of all being around his family and friends.  He was an avid Chad Greenway, Viking’s and race car fan. Scott loved to collect baseball, basketball and football sport’s jerseys, never wearing any of them, for fear of getting them dirty. Scott gained the nickname, “Paco” from his high school friends, because of his love of pizza and tacos.

Scott was blessed with a wonderful family and will be missed by his parents, David and Tammy, his siblings: Chase and Rebecca Mackey, Zach Vawser, Sheena and Trevor Schreiber, Matt Vawser and Stephanie and Justin Everson, grandparents, Mike and Linda Mendenhall, uncles: Stacy and Mike Mendenhall, Gary and Helen Vawser and Doug and Martina Vawser, four nieces: Kaylynn, Khloe, Tikaani and Addisyn, four nephews: Parker, Pacxton, Taysen and Blake and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Steven and his grandparents, Larry and Bernice Vawser.

Memorials for Scott are preferred in lieu of flowers.

Paco was one of my daughter Brittany's biggest fan and good friend. Now they are in Heaven together laughing and having fun. In my sorrow, that brings a smile to my heart. God Bless

I got to know Scott while he worked at Coborn's as a bagger. He was very pleasant and always had a smile on his face. He will be deeply missed. He always seemed to add some humor whenever we worked together. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Heaven has gained another angel indeed!!
