Minnie Marie Vilhauer was born December 27, 1925, at Delmont, SD, to Harm and Karolina (Drefs) Batterman. She grew up and attended school at Delmont. On July 28, 1946, she married Nathan Christ Vilhauer at Tripp. They lived in Tripp and later moved to Parkston. She was employed at the Parkston Food Center and the Parkston Nursing Home. She enjoyed her family and bus tours. She was a member of the Friedens Reformed Church. She is survived by her husband, Nathan; three sons: David Vilhauer and wife, Carol of Mitchell, Duane Vilhauer of Parkston, Dean Vilhauer and wife, Candi of Sturgis; five grandchildren: Michelle Vilhauer of Sioux Falls, Jennifer Lees and husband, Steve of Jamestown, PA, Brandon Vilhauer and wife, Kristin of Mitchell, Cody Vilhauer and wife, Angie of Mitchell, Breanna McPherson and husband, Grahm of Sturgis; eleven great-grandchildren: Erica, Taryn, Dawson, Hunter, Brooke, Tucker, Tanner, Kennedy, Kalista, Paxton and Kale; one great-great-granddaughter, Madisyn and one brother, Norman Batterman and wife, Violet of Parkston. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Vilhauer, three brothers: William, Albert, and Helmuth, and five sisters: Helen, Hattie, Erna, Frieda and Martha.
