Myron Kenyon Hunt was born May 5, 1921, at Pasadena, CA, to William and Bernice (Wells) Hunt. He graduated from Pasadena High School and Pasadena Junior College. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. He spent 36 months overseas in England, France, Belgium, and Germany repairing damaged combat aircraft. After his discharge, he married Helen Eberhard January 1, 1946, in Mitchell, who he had met while previously stationed at the Army Air Corps Base in Mitchell. He was employed at Johnson Furniture, Rozum Motor Company and was a Mail Carrier for the US Post Office for 28 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church, the Masonic Lodge and the VFW. He is survived by his wife Helen, two daughters, Kathleen Lambert and husband Gary of Mitchell; Michelle Smith and husband William of Valdosta, GA, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one sister, Evelyn Ragains of Altadena, CA, three sisters-in-law, Marcene Usher of Mitchell; Bonnie Orr of Mitchell; Jeanne Maxwell of Destin, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
