Jasmine Consuelo Guevara-Morales was born to Ada M. Morales and Victor M. Guevara-Valle, March 22, 1993 at Whittier, CA.  She moved to Mitchell, SD with her family as a small child and attended pre-school in Mount Vernon and L.B. Williams Elementary School in Mitchell.  The family went to Guatemala for an extended visit where Jasmine was enrolled in Colegio Mixto La Ensenanza School in Santa Lucia Cotz, Guatemala. The family moved to Plankinton where Jasmine attended first grade, then to Mitchell where she attended Longfellow Elementary School, Mitchell Middle School and was a sophomore at Mitchell High School.

She had several part time jobs and summer employment that included delivering the Daily Republic, Burger King, housekeeping at the Best Western Motel, Jack Links in Alpena, SD, and was most recently employed at the Twin Dragon Restaurant.

For four years she participated in hockey, had played soccer and was on the Mitchell High School cross-country and track teams.  During her freshman year, she was a member of the Mitchell High School Marching Band.  Jasmine loved to dance, hang out with her friends, drive around town and mostly be around people.  Her motto was “Live your life like there is no tomorrow.”  She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

She is survived by her mother, Ada of Mitchell, two brothers, Manuel A. Guevara and Daniel A. Arevalo, one sister,  Ada R. Guevara, all at home in Mitchell, her father, Victor, Guatemala; maternal grandmother, Maria Consuelo Requena de Morales, Guatemala; maternal grandfather, Otilio Morales, Dakota City, NE; paternal grandmother, Maria Estela Valle, Guatemala and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Victor Manuel Guevara Maldonado.
