Obituary

Beverly Kayser, 79, Mitchell, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at her home under the care of hospice.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, June 2 at Zion Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Burial will be in the American Legion Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm on Friday with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Bittner Funeral Chapel in Mitchell.

Beverly Ann Kayser was born September 23, 1938 to Pete and Ida (Schlaffman) Mohr. She grew up at Alexandria and graduated from Alexandria High School. On December 3, 1960 she married LeRoy “Pete” Kayser in Mitchell. Her devotion to Pete was unparalleled as they shared 57 wonderful years together. In addition to her work as a homemaker, Bev had worked as a bank teller and was employed at Randall’s Food Store, Syncom and Toshiba. Family was Bev’s first priority, she loved each equally and fully with all of her heart. She had a second family among her brothers and sisters in the Lutheran Church. Bev was a member of the Red Hat Society, had served as Boy Scout Leader, loved quilting, but sewing and reading were her two passions.

She is survived by her husband, LeRoy “Pete” Kayser, her seven children: Larry (Sherri) Kayser, Doug (Jeri) Kayser, Deb Janklow, Mary (Gerard) Kramer, Mark (Gigi) Kayser, Kevin (Sonya) Kayser and Kathryn Kayser, 18 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 5 sisters: Rosemary Schoenwald, Evelyn Foster, Loretta Nelson, Donna Ridler, Teresa Neugebauer and brother, James Mohr.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
