Obituary

Monica Degen, 63, of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell surrounded by family.  Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Monday, April 30, at the Bittner Funeral Chapel with a 6:00 PM prayer service.

Monica was born on September 17, 1954 in Wichita, Texas to Norman and Rosella (Nordman) Miller. She spent most of her life in South Dakota.

Monica attended DWU, where she received many academic awards including highest GPA. Monica was many things; a teacher, friend, mother, and grandma.

She loved reading and sitting outside enjoying time with her grandbabies. Monica will be dearly missed and her contagious smile will never be replaced.

She had one son, Heath Robinson; two daughters, April Robinson and Camaron Degen; four grandchildren; and many other family members whom she loved dearly.

I met Monica while attending DWU. She was a kind spirited woman whom was friendly to all. May you find comforting knowing she was loved by many.

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Monica for awhile, she was upbeat and a joy to work with.
