Howard Hugo Weisz was born July 6, 1942 in Hutchinson County to William and Luella (Lippert) Weisz. Howard married Sue Phelps on April 8, 1967 in Grand Island NE. In 1968 they moved to Anaheim CA where he worked as a mail carrier until moving to Mitchell in 1980. Howard married Sandra Newberg on August 26, 1994 at Huron, SD. He worked at Dakota Central until retiring in 1998. They moved to Mitchell in 2004 where he lived until the present.
Howard is survived by his wife, Sandra; sister, Vel (Bob) Sopoci; daughter, Dina (Todd) Duxbury; two step-sons: Lauren and Butch Huebsch; one step-daughter, Laura (Eric) German; one grandson, Riley and one step-granddaughter, Angela.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters, one son and an infant daughter.

SO SORRY TO HEAR OF HOWARDS DEATH. I WENT TO MAAG GRADE SCHOOL #81 NEAR TRIPP SD MANY YEARS AGO AND SAW HIM IN MITCHELL MANY TIMES WHILE SHOPPING . OUR SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY

Howard was a great and gentle man and a fun and helpful co-worker. He taught me and so many abut life in the Post Office and life in general. We will miss him! Our deepest sympathy and thoughts and prayers to all the family but especially to you, Sandy.
